Some Stories

So the past few weeks have been crazy. And I get discouraged about my blog after like 2 days of not posting. I always feel like I need to write a lot and I'm not always in the mood to talk. But now I have a few short stories that I'd like to share. Enjoy!
My best friend Kristen celebrated her 16th birthday recently, and she had a weekend long party with a few of her closest friends. First we went to see a movie that thoroughly disappointed us all, then we went downtown and had an awesome time, and finally we all went to her house and chilled. The boys went home at about midnight. We convinced the birthday girl that we were exhausted and needed sleep, so we went to bed earlier than planned. Kristen went to sleep, but the rest of us got up and decorated the house. From 3 AM to 6 AM, we made her entire kitchen and living room cute and happy, and woke her up at the exact time of her birth with poppers and shaving cream. Unfortunately, she woke up as we were walking in, so it wasn't a complete surprise. After another 2 hours of sleep, we blindfolded Kristen and took her to Waffle House. It was so much fun.

I went to a Fall Retreat with my youth group this past weekend, and I had the most amazing time. On Saturday night, the rain subsided for our bonfire, where the seniors of the group gave talks. After their heartfelt speeches, we took a vote on whether or not we should move the rest of the evening in the gym. The girl who is in charge of music was very worried that it would rain and her guitar would get soaked, so we agreed to walk to the covered area. As soon as the last person stepped under the gym roof, the sky exploded. I've never seen such a massive flash flood. All of the lights turned off, so it was just us with our candles watching the downpour. It was miraculous.

Ok, well I hope you liked my little stories!
Talk to you later,
I promise!!
Lily
