Assumption of Mary

Working on "Swim Team Kitty"

One happy hamper

It's the feast of the assumption of Mary today! :)
I'm celebrating by going to youth group, like I do every Sunday. We're getting ready for this big party/open house next Saturday, and I'm pretty excited.

I've finished my tenth Hello Kitty! Only one is terrible. Did I tell you that story? I was at my Grandma's house in NC and made this fantastic purple and lilac fairy ballerina kitty, complete with tiny lace up point shoes and wings. Unfortunately, I didn't calculate the altitude difference between my oven and my Grandma's and burnt my masterpiece pretty severely. My uncle dubbed her "Sun Burnt Kitty." After mourning for a brief period, I started up the clay business again.
My mom and I are obsessed with finding objects that look like they have smiles (Another summer obsession?!"). See above picture of my clothes hamper.

Talk to you later! Please remember to comment!

I think the happy hamper may be the best "smile" object yet...

Love you Lily

Lily, I've resisted writing this comment long enough LOL:

Okay, look at the title of this blog entry . . . Now look at the photo JUST below it . . . Now laugh like I did when I first scrolled down the page and perceived the photo as a representation of the title above it!

(PS Don't worry! I love and revere Our Blessed Mother and Her Son, and I know They will forgive a bit of pious silliness.) :-)
