St. Patty's Surprise

Oddly enough, I didn't have a very lucky day today. This morning a classmate of mine whose name is Patrick brought festive doughnuts and milk cartons from the cafeteria in honor of his name day. I don't like doughnuts (I already mentioned that in a previous post) but I wanted some of the milk since I never buy it at school. Looking at the little yellow and orange spotted container, I was actually quite excited about trying one. It brought me back to rainy days in 3rd grade when we couldn't walk to the lunch room so we ate in our classroom, and we all got free milks. Now, I always got chocolate on those stormy days, but I was fine with normal 2% white milk. After reminiscing with other girls who had similar experiences, I opened it up and took my first sip. To my incredible surprise, the milk was sour. I checked the date and it said March 16th, but it was the worst milk I had ever had in my life. My face scrunched up and my stomach shaking, I threw away the carton and washed my mouth out. Yuck! I didn't get the taste out of my mouth till afterschool. :-P

My second instance of bad luck was at lunch. I'm taking a high school English class and we meet during lunch sometimes, so I packed up all my stuff and headed upstairs to the 6th grade room. Telling my teacher where I was going, I went to the Teacher's Room and microwaved my pasta that I was eating for lunch. Later today, I figured out that everyone in the middle school got chocolate gold coins from the Math teacher, who left right after lunch! Everyone but me! Offer it up, offer it up....

So far I haven't had any other aggravating instances. Let's keep it that way.

Have a blessed St. Patrick's day,
While you're thinking about leprechauns, remember the Catholics
You know, Saint Patrick,
Bye!
Lily
