Happy Mardi Gras! Woohoo! I've eaten so much today- I'm about to combust. Hmm, that's odd, I thought combust was a verb, though my spell check is saying that the only proper word is combustion. Intervesting, very intervesting ( yes, intervesting, not interesting.)
Anyway, Lent is almost here! Ash Wednesday is tomorrow, in case you haven't kept up with your calendar.
Does anyone know what other schools are taught about Mardi Gras? I have grown up knowing that the last day before Lent is the day of feasting, because you can't feast during Lent. Since Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday, I was never confused. But what about everyone else who doesn't know about Lent?
By the way, the bookmark picture is something that I made when I was younger, and the beads are in a star because I figured out how to fold them into shapes.
