Why Shop?

I made cookies! Yay! Cake, yogurt, cookies- my blog is like the Food Network.
Anyway, I found this poem I wrote last year- do you like it?

The Questions of Shopping

Why shop?

Why not go outside and play?

And once you start, how do you stop?

Why waste your day?

Where’s the best place?

How much do I spend?

Should I get a shirt with lace?

Or a really pretty pen?

I’m terribly confused about this whole shopping thing

Wouldn’t you rather do something else?

Like dance or jump or sing?

When do you shop without your mom?

Is it hard or fun or scary?

Doesn’t everyone touch that with their palms?

Eeewww isn’t shopping unsanitary?

I don’t shop unless I need something badly

I only go once in a while

And when I do shop I go home sadly

Even if I do buy a big pile

Because I don’t want to waste money

How could someone want to?

Do people like shopping for bread and honey?

I’m even more confused than you!
