Yesterday, a few friends in my class went to a birthday party for one of the boys in my class. They went to my teacher's house (with her permission) to dirt bike. They all wore helmets and had a great time. That afternoon, one of the boys, Adam, hit a fence and flipped over the handlebars, hitting a tree. He died.
This is so tragic. He got confirmed on Tuesday, thank God. He was only thirteen years old. He has two younger sisters who go to my school and an older sister in high school. My whole class is in a state of shock, especially the friends at the birthday party and our teacher. They weren't doing anything wrong; Adam just lost control. The picture is from a list of all of the people who were getting confirmed and their patron saints. His patron saint is St. Ignatius of Loyola. I colored over the other people's names.
Please pray for him and his family.

Thank you so much for putting this on your blog. I know for fact that this would me a lot to his family, and I will be praying for him and his family always. I have put a similar journal writing on my shutterfly website, and I hope many people are aware of the situation.
